Oil-water separators are specially designed devices that remove lubricants from the condensate produced by screw compressors, preventing them from entering the sewage system and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Regulations vary by country and region, setting discharge limits between 10 and 100 ppm, with most establishing 20 ppm as the maximum. These oil-water separators reduce discharge levels to below 15 ppm under standard conditions, and even lower under optimal conditions.
